FPEW is a supplier of sophisticated confined space access and rescue equipment which is used where personnel must enter confined spaces for inspections, maintenance for rescue purposes. The equipment includes Tripod and Davit Anchor Devices and various Mechanical Lowering & Raising Systems.

Davit Systems are used as extended anchor arms to reach over vertical confined spaces or cliff walls which can be anchored on the ground, walls or vehicles. Usage is simple by using the combination of a Man-Riding Winch, Mechanical Fall Arrest-Recovery Device and Confined Space Harness to lower & hoist personnel in and out of vertical confined spaces and over cliffs.
Features:
- The system can be fitted with an Electrical 12/24V Load Winch for loads up to 450kg c/w remote control (6m working length).
- A Working Headlamp 12/24V can be fitted to the Davit Arm Head pointing downwards into the confined space.
- Can be fitted to most surfaces by using Floor-Mounted, Wall-Mounted or Swivel type Foot Plates.
- Davit Arm material: Stainless Steel.
- Conformance: EN795 Class B.

The Mechanical Man-Riding-Evacuation Device has a dual purpose as a winch to lower and raise personnel and to be used as a controlled descending device for emergency evacuation from elevated positions. The system is ideal for lowering personnel into confined spaces or over edges. The mechanical advantage in the winch makes the handling of heavy persons easy especially when raising them upwards. It is important that a back-up fall arrest device is used by both the user and the person being lowered and raised. In the absence of anchor points, a Temporary Horizontal Safety Line may be used for attachment of all fall arrest and man-riding equipment

The Tripod Fall Arrest-Access-Recovery System is a certified anchor device used for performing access or rescue operations above hatches or manholes where operators must access hazardous vertical confined spaces. The system comprises an Adjustable Aluminium Tripod with a Man-Riding Winch and back-up Mechanical Fall Arrest-Recovery Device, which can be engaged to recover a casualty upwards from a confined space.
The complete system is supplied including specifically designed brackets, pulleys and anchors. Rigging up is quick and simple virtually anywhere required, including vessels such as tankers, tanks and shafts.
The Confined Space Harness and Evo3 Lite Reflective Helmet are the most appropriate PPE to be used in this application.
